NERF WARS

As a kid, I always dreamed of large scaled capture the flag, war games, water gun fights or Nerf wars. I always envisioned 50 of my friends running up and down the block shooting each other with Nerf bullets, or water guns. Inspired by the movie Gotcha (starring Anthony Edwards), in the late 80s, I created ID cars for people, wrote a rule book, and created masive teams for these epic games. In my mind, I would see people running around the bushes, trees and ditches shooting Nerf bullets at each other but in reality the bullets would never fly that far and it always ended up in some lackluster event with people yelling “I got you!”.

We got to organize a few foam bullet wars for the kids and each one had a larger turnout than the last and each one continued to have more bunkers, more guns and more bullets. Dart Zone has now created a series of powerful blasters at a very affordable price, which has changed the game, expect they are now will make the younger kids cry. Bunkers were simple to build by using bamboo stakes and cheap tarps, and finding Nerf bunkers on marketplace for dirt cheap has become really easy.

We always take a group photo at the end or beginning which is meant to represent the famous City of God photo.‍ The event ends with a walk through the park like the Truman Show where everyone has to pick up the stray bullets.

If you want an itemized list on what you need to throw your own Nerf war please email us and we will send one over.

Face of the kids are blurred out for obvious reasons.
